DMIC PD attended on the 28th of August 2021

 

Develop and adapt your own rich and meaningful mathematical tasks

Offer opportunities for multiple entry and exit points - Can be represented in multiple ways (e.g., diagrams, manipulatives, symbols) - Require meaning, justification and explanation - By extending tasks we can shift the focus from computation to instead examining patterns and relationships. By doing this we can offer opportunities for students to engage in algebraic reasoning. - Extension of tasks also allows a focus on the big ideas in mathematics!

 

During this workshop I gained greater knowledge on the following:
